Good afternoon Basecamp followers and friends,
Today is a big day for the Team at Basecamp Wine & Spirits and the Summit County Small Business Community. We are attempting to prevent Whole Foods from obtaining a 3.2% beer license, as it will automatically convert into a full strength beer license as of January 1st 2019. This puts Whole Foods, our next door neighbor, in direct competition with us.
As a small Colorado owned business, we have been educating our community on this issue and how it affects not only our location, but other businesses in Summit County and the surrounding areas as well. And today is the day that the Frisco Town Council is voting on Whole Food’s application.
We thank you for your comments and continued support. If you are interested in assisting us in this cause and attending the Frisco Town Council Meeting, it will be held this evening at 7:00 pm at 1 West Main Street in Frisco. The more community members we have at the meeting in support of small businesses the better the chance of the Town Council hearing our voices and understanding that this is an issue that affects the future of our community.
